Seth J. Malin is an accomplished nonprofit executive, consultant, fundraiser, and community leader with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations strengthen their impact, increase revenue, and achieve sustainable growth. Known as a strategic leader, trusted advisor, and mentor, Seth has successfully guided organizations through periods of expansion, transformation, and community engagement while raising millions of dollars in philanthropic support.
Seth is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Upper 90 Consulting, a firm specializing in nonprofit management, strategic planning, fundraising and development, board development, event management, and organizational growth. Through Upper 90 Consulting, Seth helps nonprofit organizations build winning strategies and sustainable systems that enable them to achieve their missions and maximize their impact. The firm's name is inspired by soccer's "upper 90"—the most precise and unstoppable shot in the game—reflecting Seth's commitment to helping organizations achieve exceptional results.
A recognized fundraising professional, Seth has secured major gifts exceeding $250,000, obtained grants of more than $750,000, and directed large-scale community events attracting more than 2,500 participants and raising over $1,000,000. He is a frequent speaker at nonprofit conferences, United Way events, community gatherings, corporate programs, schools, and media appearances, sharing expertise on leadership, fundraising, strategic planning, and nonprofit management.
Seth holds national credentials from the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives as a Certified Nonprofit Executive (CNE), Certified Development Executive (CDE), and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Towson University.
Outside of his professional work, Seth is a licensed soccer referee and enjoys fishing and cooking/baking. He is one of the few individuals associated with the JCC Maccabi Games to have participated as an athlete, coach, games staff, Delegation Head, and Games Director. He also won the chili cookoff in Texas, with his award-winning recipe later featured at a popular Houston restaurant.
